VOLUNTEER CHEERLEADING COACH NEEDED

Saint Paul's is looking for a volunteer to lead the middle school cheer team this season! This is a very flexible position and previous cheer experience is not required. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Miss Golden at kathryn.golden@st-paul.pvt.k12.ia.us.

SPRING MUSICAL AUDITIONS

This year St. Paul The Apostle Players proudly present the spring musical...Alice in Wonderland Jr. This is based off of the book by Lewis Carroll and the classic Walt Disney movie. All 5th-8th grade students are invited to be a part of the production.

Please send the completed audition form with your student to auditions (attached).

Auditions will be Monday, December 2nd OR Friday, December 6th. Both of these are from 3:00 - 4:30. You will need to only attend one of the auditions. Everyone who auditions will get casted. Any questions? Please email rose.frazer@st.paul@pvt.k12.ia.us

GIFTS FOR THE ELDERLY

The Student Council and 8th grade are collecting items to distribute to 20 residents living in a Nursing Home this Christmas. Some of the items requested are:

easy puzzles (100 pieces or less)            kinetic sand                                          activity games

fuzzy socks                                                          curlers                                                       robes

slippers                                                                  hairbrushes                                            combs

ponytail holders                                                clips                                                             body wash

        scented lotion or body spray                    nail polish and remover                   makeup (eye shadow, lipstick)              wipes                                                                        pens                                                            flavor packets for water 

                                        bottles         

        fun gel pens                                                          whiteout liquid                                      twin bed sheets

These items do not need to be wrapped. The 8th grade Elves will be putting a gift bag together for each resident which will include a handwritten note. These items can be brought to the front office or Mrs. Harvey's room from now till Dec 13.

CAFÉ ON VINE

The Student Council and 8th grade are providing a meal at Cafe on Vine on Christmas Eve. The kids will make snack bags for the patrons and provide warm clothing options for them. 

They are collecting:

warm thick socks                                                    regular men’s socks                            warm gloves

hats                                                                                 scarves                                                       boots (new or gently used)

snow boots (new or gently used)                   long underwear                                    sweatshirts

coats                                                                               hand warmers                                    blankets

These items can be brought to Mrs. Harvey's room or put on the Advent table in the main hall starting Dec 1-Dec 16.

Thank you to Katie Oswald and all of our wonderful volunteers for coordinating a great event last week! Denning Hall was packed with ladies having a great time and winning some awesome prizes. TIME TO SIGN UP FOR 2nd SEMESTER LUNCH

2nd Semester Lunch will start on Thursday, January 16, 2025. All 2nd semester orders must be submitted by Friday, DECEMBER 13, 2024. 

*Please complete a separate form for each child who plans to take any a la carte lunch options. 

* Please note that signing up indicates that your child plans to take each item for the entire 2nd semester. 

*If you wish to add something after you have submitted the form (and the deadline has not passed), please create a new form and only include the ADDED choice(s). Do not resubmit already ordered items or the system will think your child wants two of everything. Additions must be made by the deadline of December 13.

*If your child decides they want to cancel something, please email kelly.boche@st-paul.pvt.k12.ia.us by December 13.

*Please note that all pizza will be will be CHEESE during Lent, regardless of what flavor is ordered. Lent is from Ash Wednesday, March 5 thru Easter, April 20. Pizza flavors will resume on Friday, April 25.

We will also be substituting HyVee Cheese pizza on Ash Wednesday only for those who order Chick-fil-A sandwiches or nuggets. Chick-fil-A salads will still be served on Ash Wednesday since they do not contain meat. 

*Payment for lunches will be invoiced by SCCS via Blackbaud in January.  PLEASE DO NOT SEND IN ANY MONEY NOW!

ADVENT BY CANDLELIGHT

Advent by Candlelight, Sunday December 8, 5PM - RSVP NOW!  Advent by Candlelight is an opportunity for women of all ages to set aside the hustle and bustle of holiday preparations and focus their minds and hearts on Jesus and the real meaning of Christmas. Please join us to enjoy the company of friends, a beautiful program, dine on a fabulous meal, and enjoy the wonder of the season. 

Each table will have a hostess who will provide the table setting and holiday decorations for a table of 8-10 ladies. You are encouraged to bring a beverage of your choice. JOIN THE FUN AT THE UPCOMING SHALOMSGIVING FALL RETREAT!

Shalomsgiving is a fall-themed, gravy-fueled adventure for 4th through 9th graders at Camp Shalom! Come spend time with camp friends and staff, enjoy some of your favorite activities like arts & crafts, dodgeball, and high ropes (weather permitting), as well as Shalomsgiving exclusives, including pumpkin tossing, all-camp tug-of-war, and the Great Turkey Hunt! Campers will stay at our retreat center, the Charis House, and enjoy a weekend of fun, faith, and fellowship. Fee: $150, Grades 4-9. 

Arrival: Friday, Nov. 22nd, between 7-8 pm.   Departure: Sunday, Nov. 24th at 10am
